Each year the Tonic committee selects one local charity that works to have a positive impact on the lives of local children and their families. This year Tonic will donate 100% of all event proceeds to Children’s Cottage Society.





The Children’s Cottage Society is committed to preventing harm and neglect to all children and building strong families through support services, respite programs, and crisis nurseries. For the past 26 years, the Society has been helping vulnerable children whose families are experiencing multiple problems and have nowhere to turn. More than 55,000 vulnerable children have been helped through these various programs since the Society’s inception in 1986.

The majority of families are parenting alone. Many are young moms struggling with postpartum depression or a needy baby, or are living in poverty with little or no income and come from diverse cultural and socio economic populations in Calgary.

$500,000 is required to be raised annually to maintain operations at the Crisis Nursery. These funds provide shelter,food,clothing,diapers and other necessities of caring for14 children,aged 0-8, each day.
